Devotional Thoughts —

The Psalmist wrote, “You lead me in the path of life. I experience absolute joy in your presence; you always give me sheer delight” (Psalm 68:11, NET). Experiencing the presence of God will change you from the inside out. After all, you are who you hang out with. The more time you spend with Jesus, the more impact He will have in your life. The closer you become to Him, the more reflective you will be of Him. Hope rises in expectation when you discover His plans and purpose for your life. The only way to do this is to spend time in His presence. Are you in need of a calm heart and a perspective shift? Invite His presence into every situation.

Reflect—

-
Do you have a daily quiet time with the Lord? If so, how do you encounter His presence?
-
Find extra time this week to spend with the Lord. This might mean replacing your normal commute music with worship music and/or prayer. Or perhaps you can make time and go to a coffee shop away from distractions. You also could wake up 30 minutes earlier and spend this time studying a book of the Bible... Ask God to join you in ALL the areas of your life.
-
One of the most beautiful parts of having a relationship with Christ is learning and listening to how He speaks to us. Spend time in silence as you sit and listen expectantly. Silence can feel extremely uncomfortable because it starts to reveal the anxieties of the mind, but this is your chance to take hold of anxious thoughts and offer them to the Lord open-handedly. His presence brings peace, use this time to sit in his presence. Read Psalm 62:1-2 as you wait in silence.
-
Journal what you hear Him speak to you.
