KeyNote Speaker:
This year Activ8Her co-director, Kolleen Lucariello will transition from hosting the Conference with Chrissy and take her place as our Keynote speaker.
Kolleen became an unexpected author when the empty nest season caused her to experience an identity crisis. As God poured His truth into her, she emptied it onto the pages of, #beYOU: Change Your Identity One Letter at a Time. She's also contributed to the books, Life RePurposed, Sage, Salt & Sunshine (A WordGirls Collective), and Life in the Estrogen-Free Zone. She also shares frequently to Upgrade with Dawn.
Kolleen speaks and writes authentically with a passion for women to discover and embrace their true identity found in Jesus Christ. She's a lover of God's Word who delights in quiet moments of study that become shared moments of conversation, that can lead to a lifetime of freedom found in Christ.
She's been married to Pat for 41 years and they have three married children. While she loves her role as wife and mom, it's in her role as Mimi that her heart has been captured in six different ways.
Courageous Faith: Wanda Hurley
Wanda came to know Jesus as her personal Savior when she was nine years old. Raised in the church, she left her faith behind at the age of 22 when she graduated college and moved out on her own. Over the next five years, Wanda would battle with her identity and insecurities, which would cause her to wonder if she’d fallen too far away from God to be found again.
Until the day, the Lord began to provide the way of escape for her. Courageously, she left behind unhealthy relationships and returned home to her family and her Savior.
Wanda’s faith walk has been courageous, indeed. She has allowed God to reveal the truth of His Word, even when it was hard to hear. She hungers and thirsts after God’s righteousness, allowing him to strip her of the old nature while learning how to accept her new identity in Christ.
Wanda is married to Matt and they have an adorable three-year old, Alaina. She is a Dietetic Technician in a long-term health care facility. Wanda also co-coordinates the Parish chapter of Activ8Her.
Her story is one of courageous faith that you will inspire you!
Connect in Relationship: Lucienne Henneberry
Lucienne is a wife, mother of two adult children and proud grandma.
She served in the United States Air Force where she met her husband Joe.
After seeking her own healing from post abortion, trauma, she has dedicated herself to helping others.
She is co-founder of the New Life Pregnancy Center where she worked as board member, counselor, educator and manager from 2000-2017. For the past 10 years she has been a member of the Project Rachel Ministry team of the Syracuse Catholic Diocese.
She is an inspirational speaker, compassionate mentor and post abortive healing retreat leader. Her message is one of hope and her witness is a testimony to the transforming love of God through personal pain.
Confident Leadership: Jessica Sleezer
Jessica Sleezer is an extraordinary woman whose life– story is a testament of confident leadership forged over time by the transformative power of courageous faith..
She accepted Jesus as her savior at 19, following a tumultuous period marked by depression, a sense of not fitting in, and a desperate suicide attempt. This dark chapter ultimately paved the way for her remarkable journey towards becoming a beacon of hope and inspiration.
Now married to her loving husband, Keith, Jess has become a trailblazer in life—willing to build from the ground up from whatever challenges are thrown her way. Her friends often describe her as a living conduit of divine wisdom, recognizing that her insights are a gift from God. She is not only fiercely committed to her work but moreso to her spiritual journey.
Jess is known for her unwavering dedication to prayer and the profound study of God's word. Her faith is the bedrock of the confidence she exudes wherever God asks her to lead. She passionately shares her insights and love of Jesus with others.
The girl who felt like she didn't fit in has emerged as a formidable force with a story that exemplifies the power of faith, resilience, and confidence found in Christ to influence others.
