The Ultimate Partnership

When you really love someone you know things about them that they don’t have to tell you.

You may look into their eyes and know they are hurting or sick. Or they hug you and you feel love throughout your whole body.

When I was growing up there was a show on TV called The Newlywed Game. The show asked newlyweds questions and their spouses had to guess their answers based on what they knew about their husband or wife. They were newlyweds so most of the time they got the answers wrong.

So, I thought I would do a Newlywed type of game about God. I love God, but how much do I know Him?

So here goes. Play along with me.

Question 1) Does God know a person He does not love?

NO.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (NIV).

God’s love isn’t conditional. He doesn’t cast me aside if I cross a certain point. He loves.

Question 2) Can God fail me?

NO.

Failure is a part of my life. But God is without sin, so He can forgive my sin. With Jesus, He took all my sins.

Question 3) What is God afraid of?

Nothing. I’m afraid of many things (I’m working on this). But God is peace. He is faith. He is love. His perfect love casts out fear.

Question 4) Does God understand me?

Yes.

The other day in church someone asked me a question. I completely misunderstood and answered the question based on recent events in my life that she didn’t know. As I was driving home I realized what she was asking. We had a good laugh about it.

God knows my heart. He formed me. He gets me.

Question 5) Does God make mistakes?

NO.

But God; a platypus? Really? It has a bill like a duck, fur like a bear, a lizard’s short limbs, and lays eggs, claws, and webbed feet. Every time I see one, I think, Why God why?

How are we doing? I could go on and on.

So why did God choose me to be in this Partnership?

A partnership usually means a legal agreement between two parties where each party has an equal say. In this divine partnership, we partner with God to bring light into darkness. Hope and inspiration so the God of the universe can transform lives.

He chose me because He wanted me.

Romans 1:6 “And you are among the chosen ones who received the call to belong to Jesus, the Anointed One” (Romans 1:6, TPT).

He loved me before time began.

He chose me to show me the hope of His calling.

He called me to be holy, set apart, and live in fellowship with Jesus.

He called me to live in freedom.

“How could one man chase a thousand or two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the Lord had given them up?” ( Deuteronomy 32:30 NIV).

When I read this I thought partnership with God means a huge increase. I can chase 1000 (with God) but two (with God) can chase 10,000 (this is not simple addition). There are 8 billion people on Earth right now so I just need Eight (with God) to cover 10 billion people. Are any partners out there?

God wants to work through you, in you, and with you to #restore partnership.
